Professor Michael Rudenko is a distinguished Consultant in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, renowned for his extensive expertise in managing various allergic conditions. He serves at multiple esteemed institutions and Hospitals in London.

In 2011, Professor Rudenko founded the London Allergy and Immunology Centre, which has since evolved into a multidisciplinary team offering specialised care across the UK.

His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of allergic and immunological conditions, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, anaphylaxis, urticaria, food and drug allergies, and immune disorders.

Professor Rudenko has a significant research background, with his MD and PhD projects focusing on sublingual specific immunotherapy in children, adolescents, and adults.

He has conducted numerous clinical trials on the immunology of herpes viruses and has been involved in various Phase 2-3 asthma and allergy trials. His innovative work in developing new treatment schemes for recurrent herpes virus infections and preventing CMV and EBV infections has earned him two patents.

As a member of several professional organisations, including the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) since 2004 and a Fellow of American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology AAAAI Professor Rudenko actively contributes to the advancement of allergy and immunology practices and research.

Professor Michael Rudenko is the lead consultant for the UK’s first UCARE and ACARE Centre, which specialises in urticaria and angioedema. This centre is part of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology’s (EAACI) UCARE (Urticaria Centre of Reference and Excellence) and ACARE (Angioedema Centre of Reference and Excellence) network, dedicated to advancing the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. Under Professor Rudenko’s leadership, the centre has been externally audited and accredited as a Centre of Excellence and Reference for conditions Urticaria and Angioedema.

He has published over 25 original articles, two editorials in peer-reviewed journals, more than 70 scientific abstracts, eight position papers, over 25 review articles, five book chapters, and one monograph. Additionally, he has delivered numerous invited presentations at international meetings in recent years.

His dedication to patient care and research has established him as a leading authority in his field.
