Allergy Nurse – Rebecca Batt

Rebecca Batt is a Registered Adult and Sick Children’s Nurse and has gained a wealth of experience nursing sick children at The John Radcliffe Oxford, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and the Hospital for Sick Children Toronto, Canada. Her background includes Paediatric Surgery and Intensive Care as well as working as an Asthma Nurse Specialist for Asthma UK. She gained a BSc (Hons) in Paediatric Intensive Care in 2004.
Rebecca began her career in allergy in 2007 when she became a Paediatric Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist at King’s College Hospital, London. She was awarded an MSc in Allergy (Distinction) from Imperial College in 2011. She is now working at The Harley Street Clinic where she has developed a new food and drug challenge service and has started offering nurse led immunotherapy clinics. Rebecca also works with Dr Boyle at the New Malden Diagnostic Centre on Saturdays. Rebecca regularly speaks at study days and conferences and has published articles in nursing journals. She is a research nurse advisor for the national BEEP study. Her special interests lie in anaphylaxis and patient education.
